Have you checked YOUR listing with your state medical board? Are
you aware that these are usually POLITICAL appointments. Don't think
you are safe if you registered to vote as an "independent"
- that can result
with you being politically ostracized by whoever is in charge this
term.
Have you read the bylaws or statutes associated with your
specific board. Pay close attention to term limits. Have the "powers
that be" been in power forever? These are some avenues used
by board members to usurp
power over the licensing privileges of the state. Many states
requires postings in your office for more than health/safety
issues.. many require instructions for your patients to file
complaints. Are you aware of the
"disciplinary" process

if the link to your state has moved. Every time a state
